Hey! I caught this story in the Feed : News page that we added to Port80 just yesterday!

Certainly you’ve heard that Google likes to hire spooks, (former CIA agents, etc.), now I see that Google has hired a former Chief Counsel of the Department of Justice; a heavy hitter for sure.

“In February 2006, Jane Horvath was appointed the Chief Privacy and Civil Liberties Officer of the US Department of Justice (DoJ), and held that position until August 2007, when she announced she would leave the DOJ position to join Google and serve as Senior Privacy Counsel.” - betanews.com

This ought to stir up some talk on blogs and forums.
