Wordpress Blogger Says SEOs Are Full Of BULLSHIT!

“After being to the conferences, and reading the blogs, joining the groups, reading the forums, and watching the videos, I have to say I’m tired, and it’s time to call BULLSHIT…

…It’s high-school niches all over again, and in the end, half of what they say is bull, and the other have is wrong. I’m not buying it anymore. I’m calling bullshit, and letting every single one of you know who and why.” - icallseobs.wordpress.com

I don’t know who that guy is, I could not find his name anywhere on the page, but I think he is quite angry. :D I also think that he has a point. In my personal opinion, based on my six years of SEO for my own sites, I would agree that 90% of SEO is bullshit.

Assuming that you have good navigation for your users, just optimize your Title tags, give the page a relevent name in the URLs, and you’re done. If your content is worthy, there’s no need to “optimize” it.

The rest of your job is about promotion, getting backlinks.

Well known blogger Jeremy Schoemaker said something similar:

“I actually despise being labeled a SEO. Why? SEO’s are like the 21st century car salesmen. Most are slimy and have no clue what they are talking about. They tell you you just need to put spammy keywords in your title tag, keyword tag, and write a spammy as hell description meta tag.”

:D
